Nuclear madness: what you can do

Book ·
OSTI ID:5714864

As a physician, the author contends that nuclear technology threatens life on earth with extinction. If present trends continue, the air, the food, and the water will soon be contaminated with enough radioactive pollutants to pose a potential health hazard far greater than any plague humanity had ever experienced. Unknowingly exposed to these radioactive poisons, some may be developing cancer right now. Others may be passing damaged genes, the basic chemical units which transmit hereditary characteristics, to future generations. And more will inevitably be affected unless there is a drastic reversal of the government's pronuclear policies.
