Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:5713651
The public's fear of nuclear energy stems from its concern with the following: (1) nuclear power reactor safety, (2) nuclear waste management, and (3) nuclear weapons. Although not a direct concern of the public, the industry is also concerned about a stable supply of nuclear fuel. Each of the above is examined, and some ways are suggested to mitigate these fears and concerns.
