This paper reports on the two-phase field which involves a ZrO{sub 2}-TiO{sub 2} solid solution containing nor more than 4 mol% TiO{sub 2}, and a BaTiO{sub 3}-BaZrO{sub 3} solid solution containing a maximum of 75 mol% BaTiO{sub 3}. The field narrows above 1300{degrees} C, probably because of the intrusion of a liquid-phase field into the ternary, beginning near the BaO-TiO{sub 2} edge.
