Evidence for a coexisting four-particle, four-hole band in doubly closed subshell /sup 96/Zr

The occurence of a coexisting four-particle, four-hole band built on the first excited 0/sup +/ state in the doubly closed subshell nucleus /sup 96/Zr is established from (n,n'..gamma..) reaction experiments and previous multiparticle transfer studies.
