Impulse response of a frequency-dependent delay

This report describes three approaches for determining the impulse response of a unit-gain, frequency-dependent delay system. The system is meant to be a model of the electromagnetic phase shift of a homogeneous ionosphere. The three approaches involve (1) numerical integration, (2) the inverse discrete Fourier transform, and (3) a continuous approximation. The report concludes with an example in which the impulse response is convolved with a source function to produce an output signal.
