Study of methods for stabilizing the temperature of graphite tube furnaces in electrothermal atomizers

Graphite tube furnaces form the foundation for all currently mass produced electrothermal (ET) atomizers. The efficiency of such atomizing systems is detemined by the temperature characteristics of the graphite tube. The authors study all stabilization methods and their effect on the reproducibility of and the time required for stabilizing the temperature of the furnace: automatic regulation of the current strength, automatic voltage regulation, automatic power regulation and automatic radiation regulation.
