Metal corrosion by aqueous acid solutions is inhibited by admixture therein of a synergistic additive consisting essentially of: a heterocyclic nitrogen compound or alkylamine, an acetylenic alcohol, and a dialkylthiourea. In certain instances good inhibition against metal corrosion is obtained without the inclusion of the dialkylthiourea in the additive composition.
