Electric power supply and demand for the contiguous United States, 1983-1992. Staff report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5699253
This report reviews the electric power supply and demand situation projected by the electric utility industry for the contiguous US in the decade 1983-1992. This review is based on the April 1, 1983, Regional Reliability Council Coordinated Bulk Power Supply Program Reports (EP-411 reports) submitted to the Department of Energy by each of the nine Regional Electric Reliability Councils. Three of the councils (ERCOT, MAAC and MAPP) are analyzed as separate and distinct electrical regions. The remaining six council areas are subdivided into regions to give a better understanding of the power supply situation. Including the first three mentioned councils considered as regions, there are 26 Electric Regions considered in this report.
