The general objective of Task 201 is to present a conceptual design of a remotely operated and maintained fuel fabrication facility. This document, the first of three volumes, describes the reference facility as based on the current design of the Westinghouse Recycle Fuels Plant modified to include the objectives of the Fuels Refabrication and Development (FRAD) program. Included are descriptions of the facility design basis and layout, the manufacturing process, and the auxiliary and support services.
