Hydrothermal synthesis of carbonate-free strontium zirconate: Thermodynamic modeling and experimental verification

A thermodynamic model was applied to predict the optimum conditions for the hydrothermal synthesis of strontium zirconate. Newly developed software was utilized to enhance presentation of results. The calculations revealed high sensitivity of the synthesis to the identity of the Sr precursors, the molar ratio of starting materials, and temperature. 28 refs., 14 figs., 8 tabs.
