Solid particle erosion of steam turbine components: 1989 workshop

An EPRI workshop to address solid particle erosion of utility steam turbines was held in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 7-9, 1989. This workshop was conducted in conjunction with the ASME Task Force on solid particle erosion. These proceedings contain the text of the formal presentation, as well as questions and answers pertaining to these presentations. Also included are summaries of the working group sessions, results of a questionnaire on SPE, and a summary of the panel discussion. The formal presentations were organized under the following general session titles. Session I: monitoring and diagnostics; Session II: thermal performance and economics; Session III: protective measures; and Session IV: preventative measures. Individual projects are processed separately for the databases.
