Municipal electric utilities: one perspective in Wisconsin

Much is heard today about the financial plight, deregulation, restructuring, etc. The author seeks to remind readers that the electric-utility industry is not monolithic; that municipal electric utilities are an important part of that industry. Using his perspective in Wisconsin, he describes what it is like to be a muni, how munis differ from investor-owned utilities, and what are the municipals' biggest concerns at this time. 9 references.
