Model for optimization of receiver tube design for linear parabolic troughs

A nonlinear thermal network model for the receiver tube subassembly used in a linear parabolic trough (LPT) solar collector has been developed for design optimization. Measured and calculated efficiencies for the Solar Kinetics T-700 collector agree to within 4.5 percent.
