Activation properties of Na, Mg, Cl, Ca, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Br, Sr, Cd, Sn, Sb, and Pb through bombardment of thin samples by 25-MeV to 30-MeV protons for routine analysis are considered. In the investigation of airborne particulate matter, interferences between competitive reactions can be solved. Under normal nonlimitative irradiation and counting conditions, limits of detection are in the nanogram to microgram levels according to the element considered. 1 figure, 4 tables.
