Extreme properties of reduced elastic parameters for three-layer plates with a honeycomb filler

A honeycomb filler in plastic structural elements exhibits certain advantages compared with other forms of filler since it conveniently combines considerable stiffness and good thermal insulation with low weight. Solution of the problem of bending and stiffness at the surface of similar multilayer plates subject to force, temperature, or other forms of action is directly connected with analyzing their stiffness properties. The paper give calculation equations for determining reduced elastic parameters of a three-layer plate with honeycomb filler. Also studied is the dependence of reduced shear moduli and Poisson`s ratio on the geometric dimensions of the honeycomb structure.
