Determination of humic substances in seawater with adsorptive stripping voltametry at the hanging mercury drop electrode (in French)

Journal Article · · Anal. Lett.; (United States)
A new method for the measurement of the concentration of humic substances in seawater is described, based on adsorptive stripping voltammetry at the hanging mercury drop electrode. The comparison of the intensity of the electrochemical responses with different HS was investigated. The detection limit for HS is 5..mu..g C l/sup -1/ with 3 min. collection time. Application of the technique to determine the depth profile of an oceanic seawater is also described. 13 references, 6 figures, 5 tables.
