Micromechanical and microstructural studies of ceramic superplasticity: Progress report, May 1, 1987-January 31, 1988. [ZrO/sub 2/-mullite; YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub x/]

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5683408
Superplasticity of zirconia-mullito composites was studied. The strain rate of these composites decreases with the mullite fraction. Y-Ba/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub x/ was found to produce pronounced textures upon being hot pressed and extruded. 7 figs. (DLC)
