Spacetime formulation of closed-time path of field theory for multiparticle states

A spacetime formulation of the closed-time path of field theory is developed which applied to multiparticle states. The author derives an explicit expression for the relevant amplitudes as generating functionals for expectation values of observables in spacetime. The basic ingredients in the development are the analysis of the propagation of relativistic particles from emitters to detectors, the action principle for closed-time path and an underlying unitarity expansion in configuration space.
