Green Canyon FPS to set world water depth record

Placid's floating production system will be the first of its kind for the Gulf of Mexico and installed in Green Canyon Block 29, will establish a new water depth record of 1,540 ft. Rated at 30,000 bopd and 120 MMcfgd, the system utilizes a semi-submersible production/drilling vessel permanently moored over a subsea template has provision for 24 template and satellite wells with production taken off through a riser to the vessel. A multiplexed electrohydraulic system provides surface control of subsea trees.
