The authors have observed that all high-T/sub c/ superconductors like REBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/, Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O and Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O can be suspended below a strong permanent magnet. The magnetic suspension in high-temperature superconductors is obviously a general phenomenon, i.e., it is not restricted to samples of YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/ doped with silver oxide as suggested in literature.
