We report on measurements of in-plane resistivity [rho][sub [ital a][ital b]]([ital T]) and Hall coefficient [ital R][sub [ital H]]([ital T]) in [ital c]-axis-oriented oxygen-deficient YBa[sub 2]Cu[sub 3]O[sub [ital x][ital n]] thin films. Independent of the changes induced in [ital R][sub [ital H]]([ital T]) and [rho][sub [ital a][ital b]]([ital T]) by the oxygen depletion, a quadratic temperature dependence is observed for the Hall angle [theta][sub [ital H]]. The slope of cot[theta][sub [ital H]] versus [ital T][sup 2] decreases as the oxygen content [ital x][sub [ital n]] is reduced and saturates in the [ital T][sub [ital c]]([ital x][sub [ital n]])=60 K plateau region. The results are discussed in the framework of the two-dimensional Luttinger liquid theory as proposed by Anderson.
