In an effort to clarify the relationships between electric utilities and their new ventures, UDI has produced a report which lists approximately 750 subsidiary and affiliated companies belonging to selected major U.S. electric utilities, current as of the end of 1986. UDI's report identifies parent holding company, subsidiary companies and affiliates (subsidiary companies belonging to parent holding company), area of business activity, SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) codes assigned by UDI staff, city and state where doing business, and percent ownership by the electric utility.
