Organochlorine and mercury residues in peregrine falcon eggs in France

Sterile falcon eggs were analyzed for DDE, HCB, Total HCH, PCBs and mercury. Results show that contamination by PCBs was predominant with levels of 0.77-160 ppm fresh weight in 1974 and 0.096-1.2 ppm in 1975. Mercury levels were 0.1-0.3 ppm. (JMT)
