Conference · · Energy Technol. (Wash., D.C.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5650698
A government contract calls for International Coal Refining Company (ICRC), a private sector partner, to design, build, operate, and eventually own a facility that will demonstrate the technical feasibility, economic viability, and environmental acceptability of a Solvent Refined Coal (SRC-1) plant. This plant, proposed to be built at Newman, Kentucky, is expected to produce solid SRC, anode coke, and distillates through the LC-Fining process. Management structure, subcontractors, and operations divisions are exhibited. The key elements of the management plan are schematicized. At present, the site has been selected, and workable plant configurations determined.
