Phenomenological analysis of an SO(10) model for lepton-mixing angles and Majorana neutrino masses

An SO(10) model for the lepton sector, with constraints imposed by the Fritzsch ansatz, is discussed. It is found that ..nu../sub e-italic/ is much lighter than ..nu../sub ..mu../ and ..nu../sub tau/, which are almost degenerate in mass with substantial mixing between them. A small ..nu../sub e-italic/-..nu../sub ..mu../ mixing angle t-italich-italice-italict-italica-italicapprox. =4/sup 0/ is predicted. C-italicP-italic-violation effects in the leptonic sector are found to be negligible.
