Conformal anomaly in spherical spacetimes

A method for calculating the conformal anomaly in spherical spacetimes is presented. The cases of scalar and spinor fields on S/sup N/, S/sup N/ x S/sup M/, and S/sup N/ x S/sup M/ x S/sup P/ are considered where the total spacetime dimension is less than or equal to10. The conformal anomaly for vector fields on S/sup 4/ is also calculated.
