A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives to direct the Secretary of the Interior to improve management of ground water in the Reclamation States. The purpose of this Act is to encourage these states to establish programs to protect the physical, chemical, and biological integrity of their ground water resources and to ensure that these resources are not degraded in any way that may be harmful to humans or the environment without spending unnecessary federal funds.
