This paper provides an example of a nonlinear semigroup in a Hilbert space that arises naturally in the study of population diffusion and whose infinitesimal generator is not omega-dissipative. Nevertheless, this semigroup is related to its generator through the usual nonlinear exponential formula. 7 references.
