Stochastic dual dynamic programming for seasonal scheduling in the Norwegian power system

The recently published dual dynamic programming algorithm is applied to a part of the Norwegian power system. In this paper a procedure for obtaining a good start is presented, and other implementation details are discussed. The test shows that dual dynamic programming have reasonable computing times and can be a useful tool in stochastic scheduling in a hydro-dominated system like the Norwegian.
