Microcomputer procedure for interactive relay coordination

A program is described which enables the system designer to determine tap and time multiplier settings of overcurrent relays for the protection of radial power systems. The user enters data about the power system and a fault analysis is performed. Current transformer ratios, relay types and load currents are then input to the program, and the user selects load bus tripping times and coordinating time intervals. Relay curves are then graphed and settings may be changed if necessary. 7 refs.
