OSTI ID:5640138
This study was undertaken to develop ultra efficient domestic water heaters of the pulse combustion type. A.G.A.L., GRI and a participating manufacturer are cooperating in the design of the storage tank and components. During development and testing consideration is given to common components for all models, to manufacturing techniques and to consumer needs. Appropriate American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Department of Energy (DOE) tests are performed. The pulse combustion burner, being direct vent, does not require a chimney.
