Computed oscillator strengths and energy levels for potassium-like ions V V, Cr VI, Mn VII, Fe VIII, Co IX, Ni X, and Cu XI with calculated wavelengths and wavelengths derived from established data

The primary objective of the calculations presented here is to provide reliable oscillator strengths for the analysis of solar spectra of Fe VIII and Ni X belonging to the 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d-3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d{sup 2} transition array. To achieve this it was necessary to study interacting configurations which cross the 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d{sup 2} configuration for ions in the period between vanadium and copper and to compensate for inner-shell interactions. This study therefore yields atomic data for spectral lines of V V, Cr VI, Mn VII, Fe VIII, Co IX, Ni X, and Cu XI. The tabulated data consist of weighted oscillator strengths and calculated wavelengths for lines belonging to the 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d-3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d{sup 2}, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d-3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d-3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}4f, 5f, 6f, 7f, and 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d-3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d4s transition arrays in V V through Cu XI and for some additional arrays in V V and Cr VI. Energy levels and their compositions are also listed as well as wavelengths derived from measured energy levels. For the calculations, Slater parameters are optimized on the basis of minimizing the discrepancies between observed and computed wavelengths. Configuration interaction was included between the 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}3d, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}4d, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}5d, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}4s, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}5s, and 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d4p even configurations and the 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d{sup 2}, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}4p, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}5p, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}4f, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}5f, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}6f, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 6}7f, 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d4s, and 3s{sup 2}3p{sup 5}3d4d odd configurations.
