Acoustic modes in a superleak waveguide filled with a superfluid He/sup 3/--He/sup 4/ mixture

Wave propagation in a superleak waveguide completely filled with a superfluid He/sup 3/--He/sup 4/ mixture is investigated under conditions of partial damping of the normal component of the fluid. The propagation velocities and absorption coefficients are calculated for the first and second modes, and their dependence on the He/sup 3/ concentration is determined. Relations are derived between the pressure, temperature, and concentration amplitudes in the different waves.
