Thermodynamic properties of strontium oxide in the solid and liquid phases

Journal Article · · High Temp. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5632312
The enthalpy and specific heat of SrO in the solid and liquid phases were first measured in the temperature ranges 11802805 and 2805-2950 degrees K. The data obtained were approximated by equations which can be used in the temperature range 298.15-3100 degrees K. The authors simultaneously determined the melting point of SrO T /SUB mp/ - 2805 degrees K, the heat of fusion H /SUB mp/ = 80.95 kJ/mole, ad the entropy of fusion ..delta.. S /SUB mp/ = 28.8 J/mole.
