Two possible schemes for controlling the mirror reflectors (heliostats) of a tower-type solar power station (SPS) optical concentrator are examined, including an individual control scheme and a centralized control scheme for the entire heliostat system. The latter is better as the number of heliostats of a high-power SPS increases.
