Comparison of satellite measurements of electric and magnetic fields and particle fluxes with groundbased geophysical data in the early morning sector of the auroral zone

The results of comprehensive measurements made on the Interkosmos-Bolgariya-1300 satellite and simultaneous groundbased geophysical observations are discussed. The assumption is made that the outer and inner regions of the plasma layer of the magnetosphere are the magnetospheric regions related to the zones of inflowing and outflowing longitudinal currents in the early morning sector of the auroral zone. Structure in the precipitation of accelerated electrons poleward from the zone of inflowing current, i.e., precipitation from the region of the outer boundary of the plasma layer, is detected. The relative position of the longitudinal currents, surges, electric field, and auroral structures - diffuse and discrete luminescence, radio aurora, and the electrojet - is examined.
