Improve drilling efficiency with two nozzles, more WOB

Field tests in Texas and California indicate that three cone insert bits will drill faster when one of the three jet nozzles is blanked off and weight-on-bit is increased moderately. This article describes procedural details and results of the two-nozzle test program.
