Synthesis and mass-spectrometric study of decomposition of 2,2-dimethyl-5-organyl-5-seleno-1,3-dioxa-2-sila-5-phosphorinanes

Certain 2,2,5-triorganyl-5-seleno-1,3-dioxa-2-sila-5-phosphorinanes have been synthesized and described. In their mass spectra, the main path of dissociation of the molecular ions is successive detachment of two CH/sub 2/O groups and the radical P=Se/sup ./. According to /sup 1/H, /sup 13/C, and /sup 31/P NMR data (in deuteroacetone solutions), the nature of the alkyl substituent on the phosphorus atom has little influence on the parameters of the NMR spectra of (CH/sub 3/)/sub 2/SiO-(O-CH/sub 2/)/sub 2/P(Se)R or on the conformational equilibrium.
