The papers presented at the Conference on Environmental Effects on Advanced Materials covered a wide range of environments and materials. Twenty two papers covering the effects of hydrogen, molten salts, high temperature oxidizing and combustion environments and aqueous environments on intermetallics, ceramics, ceramic and metal matrix composites, amorphous material and protective coatings are included in the proceedings. The proceedings are organized by the following topics: (1) Intermetallics: Hydrogen Effects, (2) Intermetallics: High Temperature Environments, (3) Ceramics and (4) Aqueous Environments. The session on aqueous environments included intermetallics and metal matrix composite behavior. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
