Isotopically pumped isotopic CF/sub 4/ laser

Single-mode optical pumping of CF/sub 4/ to generate 16-..mu..m frequencies has been extended to include the isotopic species /sup 12/CF/sub 4/, /sup 13/CF/sub 4/, and /sup 14/CF/sub 4/ for the lasing medium and /sup 16/O/sup 12/C/sup 16/O and /sup 18/O/sup 12/C/sup 18/O for the CO/sub 2/ pump laser. Thirty-three lasing transitions, between 614 ad 645 cm/sup -1/, and their respective energies are reported and discussed in relation to pertinent spectroscopic parameters.
