Early electrostatic accelerators and some later developments
Journal Article
·
· IEEE Trans. Nucl. Sci.; (United States)
This article discusses the developments that followed from Van de Graaff's belt charged sphere and points out that the accelerator of Cockroft and Walton shared popularity with the belt charged sphere of Robert Van de Graaff and the cyclotron of E.O. Lawrence and that the 3 machine types were complementary.
