The economic impact of proposed Clean Air Act amendments

A number of amendments to the Clean Air Act have been proposed. The subjects of these amendments can be divided into five major themes: ozone and carbon monoxide nonattainment; acid rain; municipal waste incineration; toxic air pollutants; and are air quality standards tight enough to protect public health This paper discusses these themes and the possible environmental impact of amendments based upon them.
