Nova laser experiments and stockpile stewardship

This paper describes Livermore`s Nova laser. Using Nova, scientists have been able to explore at least the lower reaches of the high energy density regime in which the physics of nuclear weapons poses the most unsolved problems. Nova is a neodymium-glass laser with ten beams. Nova produces 16 trillion watts of laser light.
