Evaluation of pollution prevention/waste minimization options

Conference ·
OSTI ID:560535
A number of electric power companies are taking a proactive approach to pollution prevention and waste minimization by developing formal and written pollution prevention/waste minimization programs. One of the steps in a program is to identify and then evaluate potential pollution prevention/waste minimization projects or options to determine the feasibility of each option. Following evaluation, the most feasible options can then be prioritized and implemented. This paper discusses the methodology for technical, environmental, and economic feasibility analysis of options.
