Duality transformations and on-shell equivalence

Duality transformations between scalars and antisymmetric tensors and vectors are studied. The on-shell equivalence of the corresponding quantum dual field theories is proved. As an illustration of the equivalence of dual theories, the result of the calculation of the one-loop divergences in the theory obtained by reduction from N = 1 supergravity in ten dimensions is given.
