AR and TD Fossil Energy Materials Program: Semiannual progress report for the period ending September 30, 1987

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5598484
The objective of the AR and TD Fossil Energy Materials Program is to conduct research and development on materials for fossil energy applications with a focus on the longer-term and generic needs of the various fossil fuel technologies. The program includes research aimed toward a better understanding of materials behavior in fossil energy environments and the development of new materials capable of substantial enhancement of plant operations and reliability. The management of the Program has been decentralized to the DOE Oak Ridge Operations Office (ORO) and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as technical support contractor. THe ORNL Fossil Energy Materials Program Office compiles and issues this combined semiannual progress report from camera-ready copies submitted by each of the participating subcontractor organizations. It is hoped that this series of AR and TD Fossil Energy Materials Program semiannual progress reports will aid in the dissemination of information developed on the program.
