Nebraska gasohol program providing food and fuel for the future: a summary

A brief summary of the gasohol program is presented. The purposes of the program are to analyze and develop the means to produce and market gasohol in cooperation with private industry, and to sponsor research and development of industrial uses for by-products resulting from the manufacture of agricultural ethyl alcohol in order to enhance the economic attractiveness. The economics of grain alcohol production by fermentation is discussed. The potential for producing animal feeds from distiller's dried grains appears promising. (DMC)
