Dense two-dimensional classical Coulomb gas on a triangular lattice

We carry out Monte Carlo simulations of the two-dimensional netural Coulomb gas of integer charges on a triangular lattice, as a function of temperature and chemical potential, and find rich critical behavior. We find transitions which do not seem to follow the expectations of a symmetry analysis, and nonuniversal jumps in the inverse dielectric constant.
