Some features of the manufacturing process of large-size corundum products

This paper presents the results of studies related to the development of the production technology for densely sintered large-size corundum insulators. The effect of the technological parameters of press-powder production from the corundum-based material GB-7B on the properties of the press-powder and the quality of the compacts are discussed. The optimum conditions for press-powder production were established. Optimum regimes were investigated and developed for obtaining densely sintered large-size insulators from the corundum-based material GB-7B using the semidry compaction method.
