Gas brokers seen unneeded for users with in-house expertise

Journal Article · · Energy User News; (United States)
OSTI ID:5585428
Industrial gas users large enough to have their own in-house expertise to negotiate self-help contracts with producers, pipelines, and utilities do not need the services of natural gas brokers. In-house expertise should include familiarity with utility regulation and natural gas contracts and the investigative skill to find cheap supplies. Without this experience, firms are wise to engage a broker after securing information on his past record and current credit status. (DCK)
